Ugh... I've been so busy this semester I haven't had time to blog at all. However, while grading papers I ran across this student mistake that made me chuckle so I had to share.
Here is the line: "Even after the truth is known, she is still used as the escape goat."

That's the method of transportation used when running away from the required reading, right? Too funny--thanks for sharing!
Funny, although probably by accident she was etymologically correct. The word "scapegoat" actually does mean "escape goat". In the ancient Hebrew ceremony a goat would be laden down with the community's sins and then allowed to escape into the wilderness.
