Historians are the Best Teachers

A study done by E Solutions Data recently showed that most students find historians to be the best teachers. I don't find this surprising at all, especially since I made up the numbers for the survey.

I wouldn't be surprised either if historians ranked near the top of favorite teachers. Students walk into many classes thinking that they 'can't do math' or 'can't do science', usually the worst they think about history is that is boring. It is much easier to win students over to the fact that history is exciting than to convince them they are good at math, etc.

I completely agree with the comments about history teachers. I always "knew" that history was "a" boring subject, and that it held nothing of interest for me. After taking my first required (boy was I angry) college history course, I changed my major to history! Go figure.
